Supreme Court Expresses Concern Over Young Lawyers Neglecting Trial Courts

In a critical reflection on the shifting landscape of legal practice, the Hon’ble Supreme Court has voiced serious concern regarding the increasing trend among young lawyers to sidestep trial courts in favor of immediate practice in High Courts and the Apex Court — often at the expense of learning foundational advocacy.

Hon’ble Justice S.V.N. Bhatti observed:

“This generation is not willing to work and learn the art of advocacy from the grassroots. Trial courts are the real training grounds, yet they are being overlooked.”
