THE NATIONAL LEGAL COUNCIL IS LEGAL UNIT OF ALL INDIA COUNCIL OF HUMAN RIGHTS,LIBERTIES AND SOCIAL JUSTICE CONSIST OF 48 RESPECTED MEMBERS , WITH ONE CHAIRMAN , 3 VICE CHAIRMAN AND EACH RESPECTIVE STATE REPRESENTATIVE FROM ALL THE INDIAN STATES , BESIDES THIS THE NLC WILL HAVE ONE LEGAL REPRESENTATIVE AT EACH LEVEL I.E , STATE, DISTRICT, BLOCK , WARD AND TALUKA ETC. WILL DIRECTLY REPORT AND ADVISE ON VARIOUS LEGAL ISSUES TO EVERY INDIVIDUAL OF THIS COUNTRY ETC. TO NLC GOVERNING COUNCIL.  33% MEMBERS WILL BE FEMALE. 

THE OBJECT IS TO PROVIDE ‘ACCESS TO JUSTICE FOR ALL’ SO THAT JUSTICE IS NOT DENIED TO CITIZENS BY REASON OF ECONOMIC OR OTHER DISABILITIES. HOWEVER IN ORDER TO ENABLE THE CITIZENS TO GET  FREE LEGAL AID ETC. IT IS NECESSARY THAT THEY ARE MADE AWARE OF THEIR RIGHTS. LEGAL AID IS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE. “ACCESS TO JUSTICE FOR ALL” IS THE MOTTO OF THE NATIONAL LEGAL COUNCIL. THE GOAL IS TO SECURE JUSTICE TO THE WEAKER SECTIONS OF THE SOCIETY, PARTICULARLY TO THE POOR, DOWNTRODDEN, SOCIALLY BACKWARD, WOMEN, CHILDREN AND HANDICAPPED ETC. SUCH STEPS ARE NEEDED TO BE TAKEN TO ENSURE THAT NOBODY IS DEPRIVED OF AN OPPORTUNITY TO SEEK JUSTICE MERELY FOR WANT OF FUNDS OR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. TO ENSURE THIS, THE NLC ORGANIZES LEGAL LITERACY AND AWARENESS CAMPS IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF COUNTRY.
